We celebrated Halloween at Education Link by having a Halloween Parade and the children sang three Halloween songs! All of the children’s family members were invited for this event and everyone had a great time. The children got to show off their costumes and singing/ dancing skills to everyone as well as participate in a treasure hunt. This event was fun for the children as well as parents and teachers because it gave us a chance to socialize and become a little closer !
10月12日から14日の3日間かけて、子どもたちはハロウィーン用にパンプキンデコレーションをしました。通常のJack-o-Lanternはパンプキンをくりぬいて作りますが、子どもたちの安全のため、園ではフォームで作った目、口、鼻をパンプキンにつけるという作業にしています。 ボランティアの保護者の方々のお手伝いを頂き、みんなかわいく、時には目が３つあるというユニークなパンプキンができました。デコレーション後は各自宅に持ち帰り、お家のどこかに飾っています。 さて子どもたちは自宅のどこに飾ったのでしょうか？
From October 12th to 14th for three days, children decorated their own pumpkin for Halloween. Normally the process of Jack-o-Lantern is to cut the pumpkin yet for the safety, our school uses colored forms or stickers and stick on the pumpkins. During those three days, some of the parents came to school and helped decorations as volunteer. Again, thank you very much for your help. Everyone’s pumpkins turned to very colorful and unique. Some of the pumpkins have three eyes. After the decoration, children brought the pumpkins to home and put them on somewhere in their homes. I wonder where they put the pumpkins…I hope they makes the house look Halloween!
This year the DK and PRE-K class created a “Halloween Tree” as decoration for their classroom! The teachers brought in a fallen twig which the children painted black and then stuck into a pot filled with sand. The children then created little Halloween pictures which they hung as ornaments! The children loved the process of making the tree and seeing their creation displayed all month long!
