2011 Puppet Show &Mochi
新年明けましておめでとうございます。2011年もどうぞよろしくお願いします。
さて今年の我が幼稚園ではパペットショーからのスタートです。干支の12匹の動物がどうしてあの順番になったのか、物語で説明をしました。初日の5日は日本語で、6日は英語でショーを行いました。みんな真剣に見入っている様子でした。辰が出てくると「うわぁかっこいい」という声も聞こえてきました。

On the 5th and 6th, we had a puppet show about 12 animals of new years. The show explained how the order of 12 animals decided. The reason why we had the puppet show for two days was we played in both Japanese and English. Most of the children were quiet and focused looking at the puppets. Some of them said “Wow, it’s cool!” when the dragon showed up.
1月2週目の11日はもちつきを行いました。餅つき機を使用し、もち米が柔らかくなる様子や丸まり、餅らしくなる様子を見てみんな興奮。「ご飯みたいな匂いがする」と言う子も。この日はスナックとして砂糖醤油と一緒に頂きました。みんな何回もお替りが欲しいほどおいしかったようで、様々な所から「先生もっとー！」という声が聞こえてきました。
The second week of new school, we made mochi with a mochi machine. We saw the process of mochi rice became softer and round. A child said “This smells like rice!” We ate mochi with soy source and sugar at lunch time. Everyone seemed enjoyed it and many children wanted to eat more.
