ST. PATRICK’S DAY
Erin go bragh! Good tidings to you and we wish you all the luck of the Irish! We were certainly lucky to have a wonderful St. Patrick’s Day here at Education Link. Thanks to all of our students for their help making our traditional Irish lunch of corned beef, cabbage, and soda bread! We all enjoyed making Irish flags, green pompoms, and having our St. Patrick’s Day parade!

３月３日ひな祭りの日にみんなで「うれしいひな祭り」を歌いました。（左の写真がステージの上で振り付けをしながら歌っている様子です。）
幼稚園にも雛人形を飾り、ひな祭りの意味を学びました。
歌の中では「おだいりさま と おひなさま」と歌っていますが、本当はおびな、めびなと呼びます。また、ひな祭りに食べるものがいくつかあります。さくらもち、ひしもち、ちらしずし、そしてひなあられ。何人かの子はさくら餅やちらしずしを食べたことがあるようです。
桃色と白の綺麗な雛あられをおやつの時間に頂き、子どもたちは色によって味が違うのかどうか、確かめながら食べていました。
みんなの頂いた雛あられは二色でしたが、他には緑や黄色もあります。それぞれ季節を現しているそうで、桃色は春、緑は夏、黄色は秋、白は冬を意味しています。
DADDY’S DAY PLAY DATE
What a great time we had playing with our dads and moms on Daddy’s Day! We hammered and sawed wooden sculptures, went on a scavenger hunt, and even made medals for our parents! We had a great time singing songs, playing activity games, and giving appreciation presents to all of our parents. We hope that everyone will join us again soon for some more fun, songs, and activities!
