Every September, Italians celebrate the San Gennaro Festival. It is a weeklong celebration in which families and friends cook together and share their food, homes, and gifts with others in need. It is a celebration of caring and sharing with others. This year, we decided to celebrate by cooking traditional Italian meatballs and tomato sauce from scratch and sharing them with our classmates and families.
There are still a few delicious and nutricious vegetables left in our garden from the summer. We'll keep them well-watered so they are ready to harvest, cook, and enjoy as a delicious snack before the cold winter months!
We're back in school! It's been fun meeting new friends, greeting old friends, and learning with all our teachers. We might not have our own facebook pages yet, but we still have a wonderful circle of friends!
